EPSG (European Petroleum Survey Group)

EPSG (European Petroleum Survey Group) is a group formed in 1986 comprised of specialist surveyors, geodesists and cartographers from Oil Companies based in Europe and having international operations, which maintains and publishes a data set of parameters for coordinate reference system and coordinate transformation description.
